Delicious Vinyasa/Restorative class today!

As you can see below, class today was body-meltingly good! We worked just hard enough to break a sweat in the OM-style vinyasa, focusing on grounding (especially as we barrel into the holidays), and lifting up out of our deep roots. We stretched, twisted and opened the heart, continuously tapping back down to our roots and drawing our metaphorical sap upward.

We even played a little upside down! These ropes are amazing! They make for effortless inversions.

And then we brought out the props - lots of them! Two different kinds of bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps. Supta Virasana, supta baddhakonasana, a twist and a delicious savasana. Yum!

New Open Vinyasa/Restorative Class!

I'm thrilled to launch a new Open-level Vinyasa/Restorative class at Katonah Yoga in Bedford Hills, NY! I've studied for years at this studio and now I will take the teachers' seat, bringing OM Yoga style yoga to Northern Westchester. This is my favorite class! First we open the body with an hour-long juicy flowing vinyasa practice. We'll move our energy and build strength with precise attention to alignment. Then we'll follow it up with 30 minutes of restorative poses, using props to completely support the body so we can release tension and stress and alleviate their chronic effects as we relax deeply. Delicious!
